Hello Familia,
Concluding our Kickoff Meeting, I would like to thank our alumni, our longtime advisor Michelle Foley, and Lisa Shulman for attending our meeting for the first time in over eighteen months!
As I said during the general meeting, not everything went as well as we could have imagined but remember that we are all transitioning back to in-person living and particular transitions are not that easy. However, I want to affirm our general members that this year’s executive board is more than up to take on the challenge this year has in store for us.
Given that LBSA will continue to have in-person activities, we will bring back the membership fee of $25 for full benefits and perks. All the proceeds go towards either buying the LBSA member t-shirts or Nuestras Raices Fundraiser (our end-of-the-year scholarship opportunity).
We have also included our Fall 2021 Week 1 General Meeting slides so you can have a look at other events or opportunities we have coming up.
Through and through, LBSA is the club to be part of this year, given the strength of our executive board and robust familia environment. I hope to see everyone soon at our events and have a restful weekend.
